Castle of Prangins

Besides temporary exhibitions, the Castle of Prangins shows also two permanent exhibitions:

Clock and Watch Museum Beyer

Inventory: 

The exhibition consists of some 500 pieces from all fields of chronology, which are examined in technical and scientific terms as well as from an art-history point of view.

The museum contains chronological instruments dating from 1400 BC right up to the present day - shadow sticks, sundials, oil clocks, hourglasses, water clocks, grandfather clocks, table clocks, pocket watches, wristwatches, and scientific and navigation chronometers.

Swiss National Museum - Virtual Transfer

The Virtual Transfer is a site for interactive stories about the objects of the Swiss National Museum. Historical and fictional witnesses present their views and paint a lively portrait of Swiss history.

The permanent exhibitions present Swiss cultural history from its beginnings to the present, and give an insight into Swiss identity and the rich tapestry of Swiss history and culture. Temporary exhibitions on current topics add to the experience.

House of Elsewhere

Inventory: 

The House of Elsewhere is a museum dedicated to science fiction, utopia and extraordinary journeys.

Every year the House presents in two or three exhibitions parts of its collection with about 70'000 objects. It also presents expositions outdoors.

Museum of Applied Arts and Design Winterthur

Inventory: 

The special exhibitions deal with the intersection of art, crafts, design and industrial production. The Museum features all facets of design from artistic objects to everyday utensils, gives insight into the history and theory of objects and materials, and it introduces to new and traditional technologies of design and graphic production.

Fotomuseum Winterthur - Collection Online

The Fotomuseum Winterthur makes a part of its collection accessible online.

The works of some 300 individual photographers can be explored by browsing the index of artists and titles, or using the full-text search facility to find information about the artists and their techniques and to read commentated descriptions of the works in the collection.

Wildegg Castle

Inventory: 

Collection concerning the history of the Effingers in Wildegg: diaries, letters, memoirs and original rooms of the family.

The vegetable garden shelters antique agricultural crop of Pro Specie Rara.
