Center for Global Studies

Inventory: 

The Center for Global Studies (CGS) is part of the Walter Benjamin Kollegs of the Faculty of Philosophy & History of the University of Bern. It is a resarch center that addresses current and historical processes of the interweaving and disentangling of human areas of life over large geographical distances and different cultural contexts. The research interests of the center are aligned upon the political, social and cultural aspects of these developments, and on economic and environmental influences.

Morat Museum

Inventory: 

The permanent exhibition shows 6,000 years of history of the town of Murten and the region over five floors. The objects tell their stories and those of the people of different ages:

• Cites lake Neolithic and Bronze Age
• Celts and Romans
• Living and working in the medieval town
• Morat dependent Berne and Fribourg
• Entry into modernity

A multimedia show recounts the events of the memorable battle of Morat.

Swiss Federal Archives - Online Research

The Online Research offers an overview of the available documents in the Swiss Federal Archives. With a full text search, an archive plan search or a field search it is possible to research the fonds even on dossier level.

The fonds overview for Federal State since 1848 affords an additional thematically organised overview.

Swiss Finance Museum

Inventory: 

The Swiss Finance Museum offers a new multimedia exhibition, illustrating the origins of the economic system as well as the major significance of the financial market and its infrastructure for our everyday life.

The exhibition focuses on stock exchange trading, the capital market, financial instruments, payment transactions and technical objects which demonstrate the exemplary innovation of the financial industry.
