History: 

The Center for Security Studies (CSS) was founded in 1986 as the Center for Security Studies and Conflict Research, "Forschungsstelle für Sicherheitspolitik und Konfliktforschung" (FSK).

Publications: 

The CSS publishes various publications. In the Digital Library approximately 75,000 open source books, chapters, articles, reports, transcripts etc. are available.

Research: 

The CSS is a center of competence for Swiss and international security policy. It offers security policy expertise in research, teaching, and consulting activities.

The Center's research work follows a broad, interdisciplinary approach and focuses on six areas: Cybersecurity, Nuclear weapons policy, Post-conflict studies, Security institutions, Security technologies and governance, Urban security / Violence Reduction.

On Ressources the CSS presents the publications and analyses of CSS experts, external partners and like-minded institutions.
